The documentary emphasizes the UAE's commitment to its students' potential, viewing them as capable as any in the world, and underscores the nation's investment in education for its future.

This video features excerpts from longer documentary films, showcasing the building of the Sheikh Zayed Museum, a profile of musician Bryan Adams including interviews and concert footage, and CNN interviews with figures like the Black Eyed Peas, Boy George, and Morgan Freeman.

Gaining valuable insights and hands-on experience, I contributed to the production of "The Investor," a reality TV show filmed in Dubai and adapted from the internationally renowned "The Apprentice" franchise. My work on this project provided unique impressions of large-scale television production within a dynamic, high-stakes environment.

The "Walk for Life" campaign, a significant charity event dedicated to supporting underprivileged children globally, took place in the Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi. Under the esteemed leadership of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the event successfully raised awareness and funds for crucial healthcare and education initiatives. This impactful endeavor highlights the UAE's steadfast commitment to humanitarian causes and its vision of providing a brighter future for children in need around the world.

This experimental film, directed, composed, filmed, and written by Omar Shoukri, documents a day in the life of a physically challenged artist. Inspired by Omar's work with Taz, a young, physically challenged lyrical poet at NYUAD, the film visually interprets and introspects Taz's journey of self-expression and artistic resilience. The film contrasts outdoor scenes with indoor studio shots, showcasing the artist navigating desert and urban landscapes while creating musical compositions from his poems. These musical interludes underscore the artist's connection to his art and his perseverance.

Three Short Tales of Forgiveness is set on the streets of a Middle East city, in a car barreling down a desert highway, and tucked into the womb of an overstuffed chair. As the characters seek forgiveness and try to come to terms with their shame, their stories reflect the complexity of a virtue that lies at the very heart of compassion.

This film documents a personal journey of emotional release and transformation, symbolized by a return to the sea and the power of musical expression. The film expresses a deep longing to be heard and understood, while highlighting themes of rebirth and finding connection. Filmed in the UAE in collaboration with New York University.

This experimental short film, showcased at various film festivals, powerfully explores the significance and scarcity of water through the interwoven stories of five individuals across different global landscapes. The film follows a Sri Lankan fisherman, a Japanese businessman, a lonely widow, an influencer, and an African man. Their narratives highlight their unique relationships with water, culminating in a shared experience, symbolizing the universal importance of this vital resource.

This video reel showcases the NYUAD Music Program, highlighting Omar Shoukri, the program's event manager and a UAE-based composer, who also serves as a technical instructor at NYU Abu Dhabi. The video captures Omar teaching screen composition and mentoring students in music production, emphasizing practice and perseverance. He is also featured in speaking engagements and musical performances within the program.
